Poker deals winning hand to local multimedia firm
ALTAMONTE SPRINGS -- America's fascination with high-stakes poker matches and the proliferation of these card games on television has dealt a winning hand to a small Central Florida company.
Show Partners, a multimedia production company that specializes in sports television broadcasts, is riding the crest of poker's popularity not just in the United States, but around the world.
The game's "winner-takes-all" drama has spawned a variety of poker shows on television -- World Series of Poker on ESPN, World Poker Tour on the Travel Channel, the Casino on Fox and Celebrity Poker Showdown on Bravo, just to name a few.
Earlier this month, Fox Sports Net and MansionPoker.net signed a three-year deal that establishes the MansionPoker.net Pokerdome Series that will premiere May 15. Show Partners will produce the series.
