Marv’s Poker Strategy

Seldom do you know exactly how a player plays, but there are many players that follow Marv’s Poker Strategy, and God bless ‘em that is what makes this game so profitable. Marv’s Poker Strategy only has five rules.

1. Any two cards can win for a simple bet.
2. Any Ace, King, two suited, or one gap connectors are worth calling two bets. (Marv varies his play by folding Ten, Four suited.)
3. If you flop any pair, a straight or flush draw, call to the river.
4. Only raise when you have a great hand and never pass up an opportunity to check raise.
5. Bluff about 20% of the time and show every third bluff.

I don’t know how many of you re lucky enough to have a Marv in your regular game, but treat him well. You don’t want to lose ‘em. Smile and congratulate him when he wins, and laugh with him when he bends you over the table, and rapes your …… stack. Just remember the guy who walks with money gets the last laugh. So grin and bare it.
