Week 5 NFL "Fantasy Picks"

Holy vig Batman! It seems that every game except NO is carrying an extra load to bet my selected team. KC is -125: BAL is -120 and SD is -115. What ever happened to a dime line?

I don't know if I will make any bets if the juice remains that high, Maybe a parlay. Why don't they move the line? I'll have to shop the bookies. Maybe I'll find one that is more realistic.

Right now though, it's time for Week 5, and so let's take a look at what picks we have to choose from.

Computer kicked out 4 games.

KC -3 vs Arizona
Bal +4 vs Denver
NO -6.5 vs Tampa Bay
SD -3 vs Pittsburgh

KC -3 looks pretty good. I’ll have money on this one. KC is a solid favorite to cover and yards per play and first downs are tilted in their favor. The only negative here is the replacement of Warner by Leinart. The Rookie might but some life into a listless Arizona offense. ‘Puter often has problems when dealing with a replacement QB.

Baltimore +4 at Denver: I’ll have money on this one too. Baltimore’s Defense should force Denver to rely on Plummer and that doesn’t bode well for the Broncos. I looked for a reason to toss this game but just couldn’t find a good one. So, the money is going down on this one.

NO -6.5 vs Tampa Bay. Everything points to the Saints in this one, but I don’t like it. ‘Puter really likes this one but there is a replacement QB and ‘puter often brain farts in this situation. Tampa Bay, can’t really be that bad, and I’m sure the Saints are that good. The key may be the two ailing OFF linemen from Tampa Bay. If the Saints can exploit it and get in the Rookie’s face, he might have a hard time. I’m still thinking about this one.

SD -3 vs Pittsburg. Well this is another one. ‘Puter really likes the Chargers but the Steelers are the defending Champs. The game will probably key on how well Rothlisberger does. If he gets it together and does not throw interceptions, this will be a bad bet. ‘Puter might be right on this one but I’ll skip it.
